Lucky hit (baseball game)

Over 58 000 people are watching while one person throws a ball and another one tries to hit it. The ball flies all the way to the audience and a little kid catches it. The sun is out and salesmen are trying to sell water bottles for five dollars. The baseball game between Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves ends 0-13. What a loss!

Sports connect so many people that wouldn´t otherwise have anything in common. That is why I enjoyed the baseball game even though there wasn´t that much happening. The feeling of unity, excitement and an insane amount of people cheering all at once. No matter where in the world you were, the feeling stays the same. In addition the players get to do what they love and earn a huge amount of money while others pay to watch them play. Of course the players are really talented but most of all lucky. I bet there are other just as amazing players who haven´'t been found.

Yli 58 000 ihmistä katsoo, kun yksi heittää pallon ja toinen yrittää osua siihen mailallaan. Pallo lentää katsomoon ja lapsi saa kopin. Aurinko porottaa täydeltä taivaalta ja myyjät yrittävät kaupata ylihinnoiteltuja vesipulloja. Baseballia vastakkain pelaavat joukkueet ovat Washington Nationals ja Atlanta Braves. Voittajaksi päätyy Braves pisteillä 13-0.

Urheilu yhdistää ihmisiä, joilla ei ehkä muuten ole mitään yhteistä. Sen takia nautin baseball-pelistäkin, vaikkei se ollutkaan jännityksellä pilattu. Yhtenäisyyden tunne valtaa stadionin kun katsojat kannustavat lempijoukkuettaan ja keskittyvät koko kehollaan, ettei yksikään pelin yksityiskohta jäisi huomiotta. Tunne on sama kaikkialla, ihan mihin tahansa maailmassa matkustaisikaan. Sen lisäksi pelaajat saavat toteuttaa intohimoaan ja ansaitsevat samalla järjettömät määrät rahaa. Ihmiset maksavat vain päästäkseen katsomaan heitä pelaamassa. Pelaajat ovat tietysti todella lahjakkaita mutta sitäkin enemmän onnekkaita. Ihan varmasti on olemassa yhtä hyviä, tai parempiakin, pelaajia, joita ei vain ole löydetty.
